VoxTube v0.1.0 – Open Beta Released

We’re excited to announce the first public beta release of VoxTube, a standalone YouTube viewer focused on delivering a smooth, uninterrupted experience.

This is version 0.1.0 (Open Beta), and it’s available now for download.

What is VoxTube?

VoxTube is a desktop application designed to let users watch YouTube videos ad-free, in the background, and without interruption. It offers a clean, distraction-free interface with full control over playback and usability

Key Features

1. Blocks intrusive advertisements across all videos.

2. Enjoy your favorite songs and videos on repeat with the auto-replay feature.

3. Blocks intrusive sponsor ads (like those on the YouTuber’s homepage or next to videos).

4. Adds the Premium badge and blocks YouTube Premium pop-ups and ads.

Known Limitations

This is still an early beta, so there are a few things to note:

1. No login support or user-specific data.

2. Some embedded video ads may still appear briefly before being blocked.

3. Not yet optimized for macOS or Linux (Windows only for now).

We’re actively working on addressing these.
